Key Scriptures

“You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.” Psalm 139:16

“It was by faith that Noah built a large boat to save his family from the flood. He obeyed God, who warned him about things that had never happened before.” Hebrews 11:7

“Enlarge the place of your tent, And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; Do not spare; Lengthen your cords, And strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to the right and to the left, And your descendants will inherit the nations.” Isaiah 54:2-3a

Start talking. Find a conversation starter for your group.

  • How have the “Harbor Lights” from last week’s message helped you in your walk with Christ and knowing the will for your life?
  • What are some benefits of serving in the church? Do you know all the serving oppurtunities there are at Upward Curch?

Start thinking. Ask a question to get your group thinking.

  • "What do you think it means to have a 'pre-planned itinerary' for our lives, as described in Psalm 139:16, and how does it influence the way we approach our goals and aspirations?"
  • What are some examples in your life where you felt like you were following a pre-planned path?

Start sharing. Choose a question to create openness.

  • "What are some practical steps we can take to align ourselves with God's pre-planned itinerary for our lives, as described in these scriptures?"
  • What steps can you start taking to carry out Upward Church's call to reach 100 million souls?

Start praying. Be bold and pray with power.

Lord, Thank you for your divine plan for each of our lives, as revealed in Psalm 139:16. We recognize our call to obedience and service, knowing that we are your masterpiece, created for good works (Ephesians 2:10). Guide us as we build together as a spiritual house (1 Peter 2:5), knowing that we cannot fulfill our destinies alone. Grant us the wisdom and courage to navigate the challenges of our generation, relying on your strength. Help us to seize the opportunities before us, enlarging our capacity for kingdom work (Isaiah 54:2-3a), and anticipating the revival you are bringing. May we be found faithful, serving your purposes and doing your will (Acts 13:22b), for the glory of your name. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen!

Start doing. Commit to a step and live it out this week.
