Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.' (Matthew 20:28)
Start talking. Find a conversation starter for your group.
- Have you had a good example of a leader in your life? How about a bad leader? What qualities set the good leader apart?
- Have you ever been a leader? What qualities do you hope to show others in your leadership?
Start thinking. Ask a question to get your group thinking.
- What is the importance of building a team? Who do you want on your team?
- If a leader doesn’t serve, what does it say of that leader?
- How can you inspire others towards the mission God has called you to? How do others inspire you to that mission?
Start sharing. Choose a question to create openness.
- Leadership can cause hard feelings sometimes. Do you have a time where you needed to forgive someone in leadership or show humility by saying sorry?
- Are you intentional about your time? Do you tend to procrastinate? Or are you well prepared most of the time?
Start praying. Be bold and pray with power.
- Father God, thank you for your example of leadership. You truly are the perfect example and we pray you will show us how to lead others in the same way. We won’t be perfect though Lord, so we pray we will lead with humility and forgiveness when issues arise. Show us how we can be more intentional with our time and how to set a clear vision going forward.
Start doing. Commit to a step and live it out this week.
