Key Scriptures

In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.”  Acts 17:30-31 NIV

Start talking. Find a conversation starter for your group.

  • Does talking about end times cause anxiety and fear or are you excited about it?
  • Have you studied “end times” and specifically the book of Revelation or is it too confusing because of all the symbolic language?

Start thinking. Ask a question to get your group thinking.

  • If Jesus were to come back today or if your life were to be over today would you be ready to meet the Lord?
  • God's judgment on those who refuse to repent and acknowledge Him is going to happen one day. The question all people need to ask themselves is are they ready to meet the Lord?

Start sharing. Choose a question to create openness.

  • Are you actively looking for opportunities to share your faith?
  • Are you concerned about your family, friends or co-worker's souls and where they are going to spend eternity?

Start praying. Be bold and pray with power.

Lord, help me to live with a sense of peace knowing you are my Savior and no matter what happens in the future I can know that You will always be with me. At the same time give me a sense of urgency knowing that You are also Sovereign and You will one day judge all the unrepentant and wicked on the earth. Help me to share with others the amazing story of Jesus's life and offer of salvation and how putting our trust in Him is the only way to have assurance that no matter what happens in this life our future is secure in God's love and mercy and heaven is our ultimate home, amen.

Start doing. Commit to a step and live it out this week.

  • Reflect on your life and identify areas where you need to seek God's forgiveness and change your ways.
  • Share the Gospel: The urgency of all the uncertainties surrounding us should inspire us to share the Good News of Jesus.
