- What are some examples of the decline of morality you’ve seen in your lifetime?
Start thinking. Ask a question to get your group thinking.
- Whose responsibility is it to teach ethics and morality? Parents?, Teachers? Churches?
- What happens in a society when ethics and morality decline?
Start sharing. Choose a question to create openness.
- What can you do to hold the line? To stand firm on Biblical values that have stood the test of time?
- How can you best affect your kids, grandkids, friends, co-workers and family to honor God and to live a life that reflects His moral character and nature?
Start praying. Be bold and pray with power.
“Lord, I know I’m living in a society that is slipping further and further from You but I choose to honor You and live my life according to Your will, to boldly live different than the world is living. Forgive me where I have failed, help me to be a light, to make others thirsty for God by the way I live my life. I choose to hide Your Word in my heart and help others see that You are the way, the truth and the life. In Jesus name,
Start doing. Commit to a step and live it out this week.
- If you have kids become proactive in their education, get involved at their school, be aware and ask questions.
- If your a young adult hold fast to your faith, trust God to help you make decisions about what school to attend or what job to take.
- If you know someone who has lost their faith, pray for them and seek out ways to encourage them. Invite them to coffee, invite them to church. Be a good listener and remind them of God’s amazing love and mercy and how He will never stop loving them.
